At GIFT CONNECT, our 2026 journey has been marked by incredible growth and deepened community impact. Through the first half of the year, we have expanded our Every Community for Early Years model across Delaware, Utah, Kenya, Mississippi, and other emerging partnerships. Thanks to vital new investments—including a $350,000 grant from the Longwood Foundation and continued support from Nemours Children’s Health and the Laffey-McHugh Foundation—we are rapidly scaling our parent/caregiver programming and advancing our technology infrastructure.
Our work is rooted in a simple but powerful premise: the first three years of life are foundational to lifelong learning, emotional well-being, and long-term health. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, our model provides a flexible, culturally responsive framework. Communities can integrate the tools most relevant to them, from AI-supported resources and music-based engagement to women’s economic initiatives, ensuring these vital early childhood tools reach the families who need them most.
Delaware: Legacy of Literacy Circle
Delaware continues to be a shining example of our community-based implementation with our Legacy of Literacy Circles, blending early brain science, the Six Loving Habits framework, and peer support. Halfway through our second in-person cohort, the results are deeply encouraging:
- 100% of participating parents now feel highly confident in supporting their child’s early learning (up from 29%)
- 86% regularly use singing to help regulate their child’s emotions.
- Every participant reports building stronger relationships with their children and with fellow families.

Looking ahead, we are expanding accessibility by piloting a new hybrid engagement model and preparing to launch bilingual, Spanish-language cohorts in September 2026. This adaptive approach, supported by our expanding statewide partner network, ensures that more families can experience the transformative impact of our Parenting Suite and wraparound support services.
Utah: Parenting Suite Expansion
In Utah, our focus has been the rapid deployment and enhancement of the GIFT CONNECT Parenting Suite App. Now available in over 80 languages across iOS, Android, web, and SMS platforms, the suite features six dynamic AI-powered tools:
- 24/7 parenting assistant (Sammie)
- Personalized music generation (Geno)
- Illustrated storybook creation (Stacey)
- SMS support (Text Sammie)
- Parenting Journal
- Local Resource Finder
This technology serves as an accessible support layer alongside local efforts. In Delaware, 86% of our Legacy of Literacy Circle participants have downloaded and are actively using the GIFT CONNECT Parenting Suite app between sessions. Looking ahead, we are actively forging new partnerships with organizations like the Partners 4 Prevention Coalition and Utah Foster Care, effectively integrating our digital tools with trusted community-based engagement models to reach more parents across the state.
Kenya: Women’s Empowerment & Community Leadership
The Kenya team has demonstrated the profound impact of combining nurturing early childhood care with economic empowerment. This year alone, we expanded into new regions to reach 300 new mothers and grew to support approximately 720 mothers across 24 Legacy Circles—support groups of parents and caregivers who learn together, create together, and build together throughout the program and beyond.
A stressed caregiver cannot consistently provide nurturing care. This is why we focus on building a holistic, wraparound program that supports mothers in both parenting, as well as financial stability. Our model empowers women through community table banks; an initial $5,700 investment has cumulatively grown to over $15,700, representing a remarkable 3:1 return that has successfully lifted 56% of participants above the poverty line, according to our September 2025 Impact Report.
That same Impact Report showed that by the end of the program:
- Emotional connection between parents and their babies rose by 98%
- Parenting knowledge gaps dropped from 68% to 0%
- 92% of participants practiced responsive parenting
- Nearly 100% of caregivers felt confident in continuing nurturing care practices after program completion

GIFT CONNECT Global Ambassador Stellar Mengele was also selected as a Global Leader for Young Children by the World Forum Foundation and presented GIFT CONNECT’s Loving Habits music edutainment model internationally in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With over 100 groups on the waitlist to join our Legacy Circles, our momentum in Kenya is driving greater community ownership, with more circles transitioning to being fully peer-led by year-end.
Mississippi: Mobilization & Faith-Based Engagement
In Mississippi, we are building broad public awareness around the critical birth to three window of development and elevating local champions. A major highlight of 2026 was the launch of the state’s first-ever Heroes for Children Award, established by the Children’s Foundation of Mississippi following collaboration with our Founder, Sam Beard. The inaugural award honored Dr. Linda Southward, helping to elevate public awareness around early childhood development statewide.
Simultaneously, we are field-testing a new faith-based parent engagement model with the Gulf Coast Salvation Army. Through six structured sessions, this initiative equips parents with practical applications of the Six Loving Habits, utilizing music and relationship-based tools to support healthy child development from pregnancy through age three.

As we progress through the remainder of 2026, GIFT CONNECT remains dedicated to our core principle: supporting parents and caregivers as their child’s first and most important teachers. Founder Sam Beard and our team continue to build strategic partnerships with healthcare systems and philanthropic funders to ensure responsible expansion and long-term sustainability.
